  • On a typical weekend, you would most likely find me playing with my puppy, Rylee, building or crafting a new project, or sleeping in.

  • When asked why I chose this career path, I would say that I have always enjoyed helping others.  However, I continue to chose this career path because I find that I'm inspired by the resilience and strength of my clients; they make me want to strive to be the best version of myself.

  • The most courageous thing I've ever done was... One time while driving on 195, I seen a car on fire with a person inside.  Me and two other people who also stopped managed to get the car door open and the pull the driver out to safety.

  • If I could have a super power, I would want to fly! I love the idea of being able to get wherever I want quickly, plus the view would be beautiful. Flying seems like the coolest super power to have!

  • What made you choose this career path? This career path absolutely chose me! Ever since I was young, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and connecting with other people. I hope that I am able to reach others in a capacity that can be helpful and supportive.

  • My guilty pleasure is watching Harry Potter and Holiday movies! Especially, The Holiday, The Santa Claus and The Grinch. I love all things magical.

​

  • On a weekend, you would likely find me taking very, very slow mornings with a nice hot cup of coffee, slowing the pace down of daily life, doing some work, while watching one of my guilty pleasures in the background. You can also find me watching college basketball games, spending time with my family, and traveling!

​

  • The most courageous thing I've done is after undergrad, I moved to Mississippi to take on my first job in the career of Coaching Women's College Basketball. I followed this career for a few years until I knew it was not for me. The most courageous thing I ever did was start over in my career search to ultimately find my passion and find myself.

  • If I had to describe myself in 5 words I would say that I am: compassionate, calm, cooperative, cheerful, courteous

​

  • On a weekend, you would likely find me... cleaning, out to dinner with my family, playing with my dogs, hanging out with my kids, or taking a bike tour with my husband.

​

  • When asked why I chose this career path, I would say that my career evolved from my love of children to my struggle with navigating family to my curiosity about social learning to my passion to maintain family bonds and build inner wealth.

  • The best advice I've ever received: "Never let the little people get you down."  Who are the little people I asked? "Anyone who gets in the way of your dreams." Given to me by a Lieutenant Colonel Army Nurse, when I was a ROTC Cadet.

​

  • If I could have one super power, it would be teaching and instructing.​

​

  • When asked why I chose this career path, I would say because it's me, the teacher and helper all combined into one job that helps people "navigate the storms of life". What more could anyone ask for?

  • The best advice I've ever received: “Pause for a brief moment each day and appreciate the beauty around you- there is so much to be grateful for.”

​

  • If I had to describe myself in 5 words, I would say that I am: patient, calm, hardworking, hopeful, and compassionate.​

​

  • When asked why I chose this career path, I would say that I always knew that I wanted to work with people and help people, but I was not exactly sure what that looked like. I went on a trip to Thailand and volunteered at an orphanage and left asking myself, “Why am I not doing this?”. From there, I was able to identify my career path, everything else fell in to place, and I have been able to help others in various ways since then.

  • My childhood dream job was My childhood dream job was a veterinarian, but I later preferred keeping animals as pets not patients.

​

  • Five words to describe me are: Bubbly, Optimistic, Spontaneous, Sensitive, Enthusiastic.

​

  • On the weekend you will most likely find me: either playing tennis, in the pool, or at game nights with friends and family.

  • I have never been given a piece of advice that really stuck in my memory but I watched my grandmother navigate life with optimism and persistent kindness.  Her example had a huge influence on my approach to adversity and in shaping my personality.

​

  • On a weekend you would likely find me working on a project in my home or yard to create coziness.  I also enjoy spending time with my children, pets and husband.

​

  • When people ask why I chose this profession it is hard to narrow it down to a concise answer.  I spent many years teaching and came to realize that the part of teaching I found most rewarding was building relationships with my students and coworkers.  As a counselor I can use my creativity and people skills to help my clients maneuver through challenging times in their lives.

  • The best advice I've ever received: If you are overwhelmed by everything you have on your plate and in your future, instead of looking at the whole staircase, focus on the next step.

  • On a weekend, you would likely find me... going on day trips to Lambertville, hiking, drinking coffee at local shops, and spending quality time with loved ones.​

​

  • When asked why I chose this career path, I would say that college psychology classes inspired me to learn more about the inner world of humans. This education sparked my goal to help people through counseling to reach self-understanding and greater levels of joy in their life and relationships.
