  • How do I sign up for services?
    Anyone can refer him/herself to counseling at JSF. All that you need to do is simply call us at: 609-474-0848, or email us at: jsfcounseling367@gmail.com
  • What should I expect on my first session?
    The first counseling session is called an "intake session". Upon arrival to the office, you will be asked to fill out a demographic form, as well as sign forms related to: (1) confidentiality, (2) your rights and responsibilities as a client, and (3) your financial responsibility agreement. Please bring a copy of your insurance card and driver's license, so that a copy can be made for your file. After this, you'll meet with your assigned therapist, and he/she will ask you questions regarding: (1) why you have sought out counseling (2) how he/she can best support you at this time (3) your goals and/or hopes for your counseling experience (4) background information about yourself to obtain a better understanding of who you are, where you've come from, and where you hope to be. Minors are required to have a legal guardian present for the initial session.
  • How long are sessions?
    Sessions are typically once a week for 45 minutes.
  • How many sessions do I have to attend?
    Your length of treatment depends on your goals for counseling, and your willingness to commit to participating. At JSF Professional Counseling Services, LLC, we strongly believe in meeting our clients where they're at, and pacing treatment accordingly.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We require that the client provides us with at least 24 hours notice, prior to his/her session. Missed appointments and late cancellations are a $50.00 fee.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept cash or personal check. ** if a check is returned, there is an additional $60.00 fee.
